Uzbekistan Joins the International Camping Community: What It Means for Parents

The Department for the Organization of Children’s Recreation and Health Improvement of the Republic of Uzbekistan has officially become a member of the International Camping Fellowship (ICF) — an international community that brings together children’s and youth camps from more than 100 countries worldwide.

For parents, this means that the system of children’s recreation in Uzbekistan is developing in line with international experience and modern quality standards.

Why Is This Important for Your Child?

Membership in ICF creates new opportunities to improve the quality of children’s camps:

  • Higher safety standards
    The best international practices in child safety, health care, and medical support are applied.
  • Modern and engaging programs
    Camps gain access to global experience in education, skill development, and active, meaningful leisure activities.
  • Well-trained staff and counselors
    Camp personnel receive training and professional development based on international methodologies for working with children.
  • Focus on development and well-being, not just отдых
    Special attention is given to children’s physical, emotional, and social development.

What Does This Mean for Camps in Uzbekistan?

Today, around 100 children’s camps operate under the Department. International cooperation helps them to:

  • improve living and recreational conditions;
  • introduce new and innovative camp formats;
  • make camps safer, more interesting, and more beneficial for children.

What Parents Should Know

Joining ICF is an important step toward ensuring that:

  • parents can trust the national children’s recreation system;
  • children spend their holidays in a safe, supportive, and development-oriented environment;
  • camp services meet international quality standards.

The Department views ICF membership as a long-term investment in children’s health, development, and well-being. For parents, it provides additional confidence when choosing a children’s camp🌱
